Our Commitment
SermorelinOnline.com is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to accurate health information should not be limited by disability, and we continually work to improve the accessibility of our content and functionality.
Conformance Standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
Our site is built using semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA attributes where appropriate, sufficient color contrast ratios, and keyboard-navigable interactive elements.
Supported Browsers and Assistive Technologies
We test and aim to support accessibility with the following combinations:
- NVDA screen reader with Chrome on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
Accessibility Features
Current accessibility features on this site include:
- Semantic HTML5 markup with appropriate heading hierarchy
- All images include descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative
- Color is not used as the sole means of conveying information
- Interactive elements are keyboard accessible and include visible focus indicators
- Text maintains a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against backgrounds
- Form inputs include associated labels
- Skip navigation link provided for keyboard users
- ARIA landmarks identify major page regions (header, main, navigation, footer)
- Expandable FAQ sections use the native HTML details/summary elements with ARIA support
- Page titles are descriptive and unique
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some limitations exist:
- Some third-party content embedded from provider websites may not meet our accessibility standards. We do not control third-party content.
- Provider logos are sourced as SVG or PNG assets; some older assets may not include adequate text alternatives. We are addressing these on a rolling basis.
- Data comparison tables may be challenging to navigate with certain screen reader configurations on mobile devices.
We are actively working to resolve known issues and welcome feedback about any barriers you encounter.
